Computer Scam Reported

Watch out for the latest computer scam making the rounds.

Police say it works like this…

The victim receives a phone call saying their home computer has a virus. They are then told it can be taken care of for just $2,090.

If the victim agrees, the crook or crooks obtain payment by credit card and then get full access to all information on the computer. It won’t be long after that, the computer begins to malfunction.

If you get such a call, police say hang up, and immediately give them a call. Never provide any financial or other information over the phone.
