CRASH INJURES DEFIANCE MAN

The Ohio High­way Patrol is con­tin­u­ing their inves­ti­ga­tion into a two vehi­cle crash Thurs­day after­noon that injured a Defi­ance man.

Police report the crash occurred right before 12:30 yes­ter­day after­noon on Ohio 15 when a north­bound vehi­cle dri­ven by 40 year old Anthony Silva of Defi­ance crossed the cen­ter­line and slammed into a south­bound semi dri­ven by 45 year old Gre­gory Otto of South Charleston.

Silva was taken to Toledo Hos­pi­tal by air ambu­lance.

Otto was not injured.

The Defi­ance County Emer­gency Man­age­ment Agency says between 50–75 gal­lons of fuel were spilled as a result of the crash. The Ohio Envi­ron­men­tal Pro­tec­tion Agency was also con­tacted due to some fuel spilling into a road­way ditch.
