Defiance: Ayersville Ave. fire causes $20k in damage

A fire in an apart­ment in Defi­ance yes­ter­day morn­ing did about $20,000 dam­age and the sec­ond floor sus­tained the most dam­age. The fire in the 1200 block of Ayersville Avenue was con­tained to the bed­room on that sec­ond floor. It was called in about 11:30 a.m. Inves­ti­ga­tors are still look­ing into the cause, and the Red Cross is help­ing the family.
