Defiance man involved in a high-speed pursuit on U.S. 24 was sentenced to prison Tuesday

A Defiance man involved in a high-speed pursuit on U.S. 24 was sentenced to prison Tuesday in Defiance County Common Pleas Court. 22 year old Ulisses Chagoyan of Blanchard Drive, was given a 59-month prison term by Judge Joseph Schmenk on charges of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, burglary, and two counts of assault. One count of felonious assault was amended from a first-degree felony. Chagoyan will be eligible for judicial release after serving six months of his sentence, according to Defiance County Prosecutor Morris Murray.
