DEFIANCE WOMAN STILL LISTED AS CRITICAL FOLLOWING FIRE

A Defi­ance woman was taken to a Toledo hos­pi­tal Tues­day after an early morn­ing house fire in Defi­ance.

Spokesper­sons at Mercy St. Vin­cent Med­ical Cen­ter in Toledo say Donna Cole­man is in “crit­i­cal” con­di­tion after first being taken to Mercy Defi­ance Hos­pi­tal for smoke inhala­tion and burns, and then trans­ferred to Mercy St. Vin­cent.

Fire offi­cials said the home is a total loss.

The cause of the blaze remains under inves­ti­ga­tion by the state fire marshal.
