Another weather spotter training session will be held tonight to help residents learn how to spot and report severe weather. The free session is open to the public tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Defiance County Public Safety Office in Brunersburg. The Crescent-News reports there’s no prior registration required, and walk-ins are welcome. The weather spotter training will show what to look for when checking for severe weather, how to stay safe, and a short course in how thunderstorms and tornados develop. The Director of the Defiance County Emergency Management Agency, Julie Rittenhouse, is hoping for at least 40 people to attend tonight. Then , she says, it is important to know what to do if severe weather happens and make a plan.
For more information, call Rittenhouse at 419-782-1130.
