Hicksville man dies in crash in Defiance Township

A Hicksville man dies in a crash in Defiance Township. The Ohio State Highway Patrol says Brayan Cano, 21, was eastbound on Highway 24 in the westbound lanes…when he collided head-on with a semi-truck…driven by Mingat Singh, 24, of Greenwood, Indiana. After the collision, both vehicles went off the right side of the road and into a ditch. Jose Cabanzo, 24, of Hicksville, a passenger in Cano’s vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Cano is flown to a Toledo area hospital in serious condition. Alcohol is suspected in the crash.
