Husband Of Steuben County Woman Killed In Crash Now Arrested

The hus­band of a Steuben County woman who died in traf­fic acci­dent back in August, has been arrested and charged with Oper­at­ing While Intox­i­cated Caus­ing Death.

41-year-old Daniel Shroyer was arrested over the week­end, and released from jail on Sat­ur­day night after post­ing 10 per­cent of a $10,000 bond.

The war­rant for his arrest was issued on Octo­ber 17th. The Steuben County Sheriff’s Depart­ment sus­pected alco­hol was a fac­tor in the crash which took the life of 43-year-old Deanna Shroyer on August 1st.

Shroyer’s arrest came on the same week­end a ben­e­fit was held to help out the chil­dren of the cou­ple. The Shroy­ers have adopted many fos­ter chil­dren over the years as well as hav­ing their own children.
