Litchfield Residents to Weigh In on City Budget

Litch­field offi­cials got a sneak peek at the city’s pro­posed bud­get ear­lier this week. The 2015–2016 bud­get includes a two-percent pay raise for all city employ­ees to help off­set a six per­cent increase in health insur­ance costs. Res­i­dents and busi­nesses can expect a two-percent increase in water and sewer rates as well, but they’ll all have a chance to voice their opin­ions on the pro­posed plan at a pub­lic hear­ing sched­uled for May 19.
