Lost Boy Found Safe In Defiance

The search was on Wednes­day evening for a 5-year-old boy who was reported miss­ing from a home on Har­ri­son Avenue in Defi­ance. He was even­tu­ally found unharmed at a local church. The boy’s mother reported the child miss­ing Wednes­day evening around 6:30. Police, Sheriff’s offi­cers, fire crews, the high­way patrol, an air ambu­lance, and a K9 unit all combed the area nearby. The boy was even­tu­ally found at the Church of the Nazarene on Jef­fer­son Avenue. No word yet on just how he got there, but res­cue crews say he may have got­ten on a church bus which took him to the church.
