Montpelier Man Jailed For Car Theft

A Mont­pe­lier man who police say stole a car in Mont­pe­lier, is in an Indi­ana county jail after crash­ing that car. 37 year old Mark Sidle, accord­ing to police, stole a Kia Soul in Mont­pe­lier Mon­day after­noon. That stolen car was involved in a crash involv­ing Sidle near Pleas­ant Lake, in Steuben County. Sidle fled on foot and wit­nesses saw him unsuc­cess­fully attempt to enter a nearby res­i­dence. He was cap­tured about 90 min­utes later and locked up in the Steuben County Jail. It was reported that Sidle injured his hand in the acci­dent, but he declined treatment.
