A Montpelier man who police say stole a car in Montpelier, is in an Indiana county jail after crashing that car. 37 year old Mark Sidle, according to police, stole a Kia Soul in Montpelier Monday afternoon. That stolen car was involved in a crash involving Sidle near Pleasant Lake, in Steuben County. Sidle fled on foot and witnesses saw him unsuccessfully attempt to enter a nearby residence. He was captured about 90 minutes later and locked up in the Steuben County Jail. It was reported that Sidle injured his hand in the accident, but he declined treatment.
