More On Bomb Threat

It’s now been learned that a bomb threat that was scrawled on the wall in the Edon Northwest Local School building was behind the shut-down of the school Wednesday afternoon.

The Bryan Times reports that police say the threat was discovered by a student around 12:30 Wednesday. Police were immediately called in and they evacuated the building.

Students were sent home around 1:45. All athletic events that were scheduled for Wednesday night had to be cancelled.

Bomb sniffing dogs were brought in from the Toledo Police department. They made a complete sweep of the building and then the threat was called off later Wednesday night after no explosives were turned up.

Now, local, state, and federal authorities are investigating. So far, no arrests have been made.
