More On Defiance Shooting

Defi­ance police have arrested a woman in con­nec­tion with a shoot­ing that hap­pened on Tues­day.

44 year old Pauletta Sali­nas of Defi­ance is now charged with felo­nious assault and is being held at the Cor­rec­tions Cen­ter of North­west Ohio. Her ini­tial appear­ance in Defi­ance Munic­i­pal Court is set for tomor­row morn­ing

Sali­nas is charged with shoot­ing 45 year old Vin­cent J. Sali­nas, who was taken by air ambu­lance to Toledo Hos­pi­tal with a gun­shot wound to the “chest area on Tues­day, after first being taken to ProMed­ica Defi­ance Regional Hos­pi­tal.

Accord­ing to the police report, the shoot­ing hap­pened Tues­day after­noon just before 4:30.

The two were in divorce pro­ceed­ings.

Defi­ance Police along with the Defi­ance County Sheriff’s Office, are con­tin­u­ing to investigate.
