A new report from the state says 18,000 children were reported missing in Ohio last year. The report says all but a handful were found safely and those who remain missing are suspected runaways. The 2013 Ohio Missing Children Clearinghouse Report from the state attorney general’s office says 450 adults and children are listed as missing.
The report also says that there were 51 attempted child abductions last year. It also finds that 17,000 of the children reported missing by law enforcement agencies last year were teens.
