More Than 18,000 Missing Children Reported In Ohio

A new report from the state says 18,000 chil­dren were reported miss­ing in Ohio last year. The report says all but a hand­ful were found safely and those who remain miss­ing are sus­pected run­aways. The 2013 Ohio Miss­ing Chil­dren Clear­ing­house Report from the state attor­ney general’s office says 450 adults and chil­dren are listed as miss­ing.

The report also says that there were 51 attempted child abduc­tions last year. It also finds that 17,000 of the chil­dren reported miss­ing by law enforce­ment agen­cies last year were teens.
