A Napoleon apartment was damaged by fire Monday morning. According to Napoleon Fire Chief Clayton O’Brien the fire was reported at approximately 11:45 a.m. in the 100 block of Derome Drive. O’Brien said there was heavy fire visible from the one-story structure, which contained two apartments. He said one resident was home at the time and was transported by Henry County South Joint Ambulance District to Henry County Hospital, Napoleon, and treated for smoke inhalation. That apartment was considered a total loss, while the second apartment sustained some smoke damage. O’Brien said the fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature.
