NAPOLEON HOLDING A HEART WALK SATURDAY

The American Heart Association (AHA) is sponsoring the Northwest Ohio Heart Walk on Saturday in Napoleon.

More than 150 people will be participating in the event which starts with registration at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning in Napoleon. The walk will begin at 9 a.m. and refreshments will be offered along the route, including water and heart-healthy snacks.

It’s a non-competitive, three-mile and one-mile walk with teams of employees from local companies and other organizations. Prizes will be given to the top fundraisers for the event.

The Heart Association says that research has shown walking is the single most effective form of exercise to achieve heart health. The benefits of walking and moderate physical activity for as little as 30 minutes each day can help reduce the risk of heart disease.

To participate in the Heart Walk, you still have time to call Beth at 419–740-6180.
