Paulding Co. Health Department may seek levy

The Health Depart­ment needs more money to oper­ate, and Pauld­ing County com­mis­sion­ers encour­aged the depart­ment to seek an oper­at­ing levy to help with bud­getary issues.
Among the money issues, pre­mi­ums for employ­ees increased by 25% for next year, and rev­enue has not increased. Since the depart­ment has not had an increase, it has been forced to decrease staff because of ris­ing costs.
The com­mis­sion­ers reminded the Health Depart­ment that tomor­row is the due date to have a levy on the spring ballot.
