Payne House Fire Leaves Three Firefighters Slightly Injured

Three fire­fight­ers were hurt bat­tling a house fire in Payne on Mon­day after­noon. The fire­fight­ers, one from Pauld­ing and two oth­ers from Payne, were treated and released after being treated for minor injuries after they were called to a burn­ing home on South Laura Street in Payne. The home, owned by Frank Karolyi, sus­tained heavy dam­age. Every­one inside was able to get out safely before fire crews arrived. The state fire mar­shal is inves­ti­gat­ing it, and the cause is still not clear.
