A local elected official has pleaded not guilty to charges filed against him in Fulton County. Hugh Perry, 66, of rural Edgerton, was booked into the jail on charges of menacing by stalking and telecommunications harassment, both first-degree misdemeanors. Perry is a St. Joseph Township trustee who was last elected in 2019. The case is being heard in Fulton County Western District Court. Perry pled not guilty. His bond was set at $1,000, which was posted. The case was initially filed with the court on May 27. A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 17.
