Roadwork Approaches

The Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission has announced capital improvement projects in 13 counties in northern Ohio, including in Williams County. Beaver Excavating out of Canton has been selected to work on a base pavement replacement project, according to officials… stretch from the state’s border with Indiana into the Westgate Toll Plaza in Edon. Beginning sometime this spring, pavement replacement will begin on the westbound side of the Turnpike. During construction, traffic in both directions will be reduced to one lane. The project is expected to end in November. Meanwhile, Action Contractors out of Bedford will complete a new mainline Westgate Toll Plaza at milepost 4, though no traffic interruptions are expected. A two-year resurfacing project is expected to start in May, starting east of the Holiday City exit at milepost 14.8…going to milepost 27.5, east of the Archbold-Fayette exit.
