Some Savings Discussed At BMU

Lower electric bills may be coming to BMU customers. The Bryan Board of Public Affairs talked about a new electric rate for 2019 that is expected to result in lower costs to customers. Officials told the board the proposed rate change would increase the monthly residential customer charge from $8.25 to $10.25. But the kilowatt hour charge will decrease from 9.98 cents to 9.83 cents. They could finalize all this within a month.
