A local bidder throws their hat in the ring to buy a legendary candy maker. Necco, the New England based confectioner, known for their chalky Necco candies and those little heart shaped Sweetheart candies with the little sayings, is looking for a buyer. Spangler Candy Co., of Bryan, entered a bid of $14.5 million. Several other outfits are vying to buy the iconic candy maker as well.
