Standish Case Update

A Montpelier man faces 45 criminal counts…accused of rape and other sex crimes against two young girls, over a period of ten years. Jonathon Standish was among 20 individuals indicted this week by a Williams County grand jury. Prosecutors say…Standish raped one girl on numerous occasions, starting when she was 5 years old in 2005…continuing through 2014. He is also accused of having sexual contact with a second girl in 2013 and 2014, when that girl was between 8 and 10 years old, as well as arranging sexual contact between the two alleged victims. Standish faces a total of 30 counts of rape, each a first-degree felony. He is scheduled to be arraigned on June 28.
