Wear That Seatbelt!

The Tri-County Traffic Safety Partnership has announced an increased enforcment effort is underway concerning seat belt and child restraint violations, now until May 8th.

The increased enforcement comes after the Angola Police Department said the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute has identified Steuben County as having a higher than average number of personal injury and fatal crashes involving unrestrained occupants over the last five years.

It’s for that reason that the Partnership has gotten a grant that will fund the increased enforcement. The Partnership is made up of police agencies in Steuben, DeKalb and LaGrange Counties.
