Wildfires spreading smoke across the U.S., including into Williams County
Wildfires in Canada are spreading smoke across the border into the United States, including into Williams County. While the northeastern United States is getting the brunt of the fallout, the Midwest is not escaping the effects. All of Williams County was listed as having an unhealthy Air Quality Index late Wednesday morning. By early Wednesday afternoon, the western parts of the county had been downgraded to unhealthy for sensitive groups. Bryan was listed with an AQI of 153, just over the threshold for the unhealthy designation. At the same time, Edgerton and Edon had an AQI of 139, putting them in the unhealthy for sensitive groups designation.
