WillCo Sheriff warns of computer virus email

The Williams County Sheriffs office is warning of another Email scam, this one is designed to unleash a virus into your computer. The email has a subject line similar to: Court Meeting on June 17, 2016. The email says that your presence is required at the court or a warrant will be issued for your arrest, with a link to the “court document.” Do not open the link. It is a VIRUS that will corrupt your computer. The Sheriff’s Office says you should immediately delete it. If you had a court date, the Sheriff wants you to know you would not be notified via email. The court system, nor the Sheriff’s Office will ever contact you in that manner. Again, if you get this email, simply delete it.
