Williams County commissioners agree to extend a property purchase agreement.

The Williams County commissioners agree to extend a property purchase agreement, as well as appointing a person to the county district library board. They approved extending the agreement with Crossed Rifles, LLC, for property located on North Main Street, part of some property purchased in September, along with another plot on N. Main St., that provides additional office and record retention space. The deal has been extended to Jan. 31 and is agreed to by both parties. The commissioners also agreed to appoint Julie Oxender as trustee of the county district library board, replacing Candice Tressler, who has elected not to be re-appointed. Oxender’s term will be effective, through 2030. The board of commissioners also approved setting a date and time for a viewing of a ditch that has been petitioned for an extension of a maintenance agreement. Sidney Ebersole has requested the extension of a current maintenance agreement on ditch #607 in Bridgewater Township to address and prevent flooding on upstream lands and to combine the maintenance. The commissioners will view the ditch in March…and a first hearing on the matter has been set for April 9th.
