A few weeks ago, we told you about the Paulding Putnam Electric Coop employees working to pay for an honor flight for veterans to DC. Here’s an update on their progress. They need $70,000 to make it happen, and we’re being told the group has raised almost half of that, $30,000 so far. And the group is also, at the same time, trying to locate the remaining World War II veterans in this region, so they can go on this trip, planned for later this year. PPEC is accepting individual and corporate donations, holding a truck raffle and open to other fundraising efforts. For info, go to PPEC.coop.
