Suspects use distraction to rob stores, deputies say

In Putnam county, Deputies are warning residents in the Ottawa area to be on the lookout for two individuals suspected of taking wallets and purses at multiple businesses located on Main Street. According to the sheriff’s department, one suspect distracts workers while the other takes the wallets and purses. One suspect is described as a black female with short, straight hair, wearing a denim dress and approximately 5-feet, 5-inches tall. The second suspect is described as a black female with long braided hair and wearing capris. She is also described as being approximately 5-feet, 5-inches tall. Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 419-523-3208.
