SENIOR FAIR IN DEFIANCE

Defi­ance County seniors are all invited for a healthy and infor­ma­tive Tues­day at the Health Expo. The expo will be held tomor­row from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Defi­ance County Senior Cen­ter at 140 E. Broad­way Ave. in Defi­ance.

The Health Expo is a free heath fair with a con­ti­nen­tal break­fast, free lunch at noon, four infor­ma­tive speak­ers, var­i­ous health and well­ness checks, more than 30 ven­dors and door prizes being given away all day long.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. with a con­ti­nen­tal break­fast, and a talk by attor­ney Steve Hub­bard at 9:30 a.m. about guardian­ships and power of attor­ney com­plex­i­ties. Other top­ics will include what is involved in healthy eat­ing, pre-planning funer­als, and some of the tricky frauds and scams that are car­ried out against seniors.

In between the talks, seniors can check out the large num­ber of ven­dors who will be at the Health Expo.

Legal Aid and the Alzheimer’s Asso­ci­a­tion will also be present and there will be Zumba and yoga demon­stra­tions dur­ing lunch.
