Water main break within the Wal-Mart plaza causes water discoloration

A water main break within the Wal-Mart plaza on S. Main St. Monday evening discolored tap water in adjacent residences and kept the store closed Tuesday. Bryan Municipal Utilities Water Superintendent Norm Echler said Wal-Mart had the break in their main system. BMU received multiple reports of discolored tap water after the break but, “That’s typical when we get an unexpected high flow.
