According to the Bryan Times, the Williams County Sheriff’s Office could be over budget by the end of the year.
Williams County Commissioners addressed their concerns in an open letter to the Sheriff on Monday.
That letter said that based on a review conducted July 31st, nine budgetary line items indicate a probable shortfall by years end. Those nine line items are:
• Administrative salaries
• Medicare contributions
• Purchases for the canine patrol
• Fingerprinting
• Non-capital equipment purchases
• Unspecified miscellaneous expenses
• Seminars and training
• Uniforms and uniform cleaning costs
• Overtime
