A Putnam County man is seriously injured in an ATV crash on Ohio 189, east of County Road 17 in Sugar Creek Township. John Fisher, a Columbus Grove man, is in critical condition at a Lima hospital. Investigators tell reporters Fisher was westbound on 189, when he swerved to avoid hitting an animal in the roadway…he was thrown from the vehicle. Deputies say the driver struck the pavement and sustained injuries to his lower extremities and head. He was not wearing a helmet. The incident remains under investigation.
