Boil Water Advisory In Delta

Water pressure is restored in Delta after a main break. A boil advisory is in effect at this hour. Officials say the water plant there was alerted to a sharp drop in pressure throughout the system. Village police found the blown 12-inch water main on Helvetia Street, which flooded the area and caused a nearby water tower to drain. The water tower has been refilled to its normal level. Water plant personnel were attaching notices to homes, advising residents to boil water before usage. They say it will likely continue until at least Friday to allow for water testing.
