MARCS Money Comes In

Ten fire departments in Williams County get a little more than $287 thousand dollars, in the first round of the 2021 Multi-Agency Radio Communications Systems, or MARCS, grant awards. They are among 242 fire departments in 46 counties throughout Ohio to receive the roughly $1.5 million dollars in funding. A second round of grants will be announced in late January. The MARCS radio system allows first responders to seamlessly communicate with each other…and with other agencies…responding to an incident.
