Four Face Charges

Four Swanton residents have been accused in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Jodie Wilson and her son, Cole Temple, have surrendered to FBI agents. Also charged are Gabriel Burress and Madison Pettit. They are accused of knowingly entering a restricted building without lawful authority, demonstrating in a U.S. Capitol building and two counts of disorderly conduct. Nearly 600 people have been accused of taking part in the insurrection that followed former President Trump’s “Stop the Steal” gathering that rallied his supporters.
