CCNO Involved In Injury Crash In GR

hree inmates and two employees at CCNO are hurt in a two-vehicle accident in Grand Rapids. Officials say Derek Ringler, 57, of Grand Rapids, was driving north on Ohio 295 while Shawn Brown, 50, was eastbound on South River Road, in a CCNO transport van. When Ringler pulled out from the stop sign, the CCNO van struck the left front side of his vehicle. Ringler was not injured but his 10-year-old front-seat passenger was flown from the scene by medical helicopter to St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo with non-life threatening injuries. Brown was taken to a Toledo Hospital. His front-seat passenger, Jacob Vcic, 25, also a CCNO employee, was taken to Wood County Hospital. The three inmates were Antonio Allen…Eric Rutledge…and Brandon Wierman, all from Toledo. They are taken to a Maumee hospital with minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
