Expanded early voting hours next week could bring an influx of voters to the county elections office. That’s what area elections officials tell reporters. As of Friday, 310 early ballots have been cast in person at the elections office, with 112 mail-in ballots returned out of 212 mailed. Nursing homes had nine ballots returned so far…and one of three ballots mailed out as part of the Uniformed And Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act have been returned…for a total of 432 early votes cast in Williams County since early voting began Oct. 5. Expanded in-person voting hours for Oct. 25-29 are set for 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Two in-person voting booths are set up in the office, on E. High St., in Bryan. Another voting machine is dedicated to those who qualify under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
