House Fire In Defiance

A Defiance resident is displaced after a structure fire at a home on Ottawa Ave. When firefighters arrived, the resident, Joshua Henry, said that he was the only person in the building and he was uninjured. Henry told firefighters that he woke up to the smell of smoke and was able to get out. As soon as the fire was contained, crews entered the place to begin assessment and conduct salvage and overhaul operations. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
