Tornado Sirens Set Off

Well, at least people know they work.

Reports of a funnel cloud Wednesday night set off Steuben County tornado sirens around 9:45pm. No watches or warnings had been issued by the National Weather Service though.

Officials say it was a case of better safe than sorry.

The N.W.S. did indicate later that evening on their Twitter feed, that they received reports of funnel clouds in Steuben County. They also made reference to the sirens going off. However, no touchdowns were reported.
