Bomb Threat At Dollar Tree

Not a lot of infor­ma­tion is being released yet, but Defi­ance Police are say­ing that that they are inves­ti­gat­ing a bomb threat that was called in yes­ter­day after­noon involv­ing the Dol­lar Tree Store in the North­towne Mall.

Police report that offi­cers received word of the threat just after 2 Tues­day after­noon. The store and the sur­round­ing areas were evac­u­ated as a pre­cau­tion. The store and area was swept, but noth­ing was found, and the store re-opened a short time later.

The inves­ti­ga­tion is con­tin­u­ing today. So far, no arrests have been made.
