Williams Co. tax bills have gone out

Williams County’s auditor says real estate tax bills should arrive in the mail any day now.

Deb Nester says property owners can use a pair of tax saving programs through her office.

People 65 and older can participate in the Homestead Exemption Program. This program also welcomes permanently disabled people, as well as veterans fully disabled because of something connected to the service who own and live in their own homes.

Meanwhile, all homeowners can take advantage of a 2.5 percent Homesite credit, given they live in their homes.

You can download the application forms from the county auditor’s website.
