YMCA Kicks Off Fundraising Campaign

The Williams County Fam­ily YMCA has launched it’s annual sup­port cam­paign, with a goal this year of rais­ing $70,000. The money will be used to sup­port pro­grams for preschool­ers, school-age chil­dren and seniors, and help fund the Peo­ple Help­ing Peo­ple Schol­ar­ship pro­gram, which pro­vides mem­ber­ship assis­tance to low-income fam­i­lies. Y offi­cials say that while sup­port is accepted year-round, the cam­paign cur­rently under­way is par­tic­u­larly active over the next 12 weeks. The Williams County YMCA is head­quar­tered in the 46,000 square foot build­ing on Faber Drive in Bryan, and cur­rently has some 3,100 mem­bers, about 65 employ­ees, and an oper­at­ing bud­get of $750,000 a year.
