Three firefighters were hurt battling a house fire in Payne on Monday afternoon. The firefighters, one from Paulding and two others from Payne, were treated and released after being treated for minor injuries after they were called to a burning home on South Laura Street in Payne. The home, owned by Frank Karolyi, sustained heavy damage. Everyone inside was able to get out safely before fire crews arrived. The state fire marshal is investigating it, and the cause is still not clear.
