Bayes bequest to help animals and children

A woman who vol­un­teered count­less hours to the Humane Soci­ety and was on the board of direc­tors has bequeathed $1.3 mil­lion dol­lars to the Bryan Area Foun­da­tion. The money will go to the Williams County Humane Scoei­thy, the Pub­lic Library’s geneal­ogy depart­ment, and finally cre­ate a music schol­ar­ship for a grad­u­at­ing Bryan senior major­ing in music. The late Eleanor Bayes died in Jan­u­ary this year.
