While the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio became alarmed this week at rumors Toledo and Lucas County will withdraw from the regional jail and build their own, the CCNO is now touting a new upgrade to its security system that will make it a state of the art corrections facility. The combined partners in the CCNO of Williams, Henry, Fulton, Defiance and Lucas Counties plus Toledo have approved 640 thousand to acquire new security technology, including touch screen monitors to control locking systems and intercoms and motion activated cameras. They say the new technology will allow the staff and jail guards to respond more swiftly to any circumstance.
