Local Defiance newspaper company sold to Minn. business

Defi­ance Pub­lish­ing Com­pany, the par­ent com­pany of The Crescent-News and other area pub­li­ca­tions has been pur­chased by Adams Pub­lish­ing Group in Min­nesota. Steve Van­De­mark will con­tinue as pub­lisher. The Adams Pub­lish­ing Group is a family-owned media com­pany, which pro­duces com­mu­nity news­pa­pers, events, dig­i­tal prod­ucts and spe­cialty mag­a­zines. They own radio sta­tions, out­door adver­tis­ing com­pa­nies and Camp­ing World/Good Sam, a national dis­trib­u­tor of RVs and camp­ing prod­ucts. The for­mer owner, Dix Com­mu­ni­ca­tions, has owned The Crescent-News for 64 years.
