Ayersville Local Board of Education Meets

Fol­low­ing the res­ig­na­tion of Ayersville Local Board of Edu­ca­tion vice pres­i­dent Brad Mor­ri­son ear­lier this month, the board met in a spe­cial exec­u­tive ses­sion Wednes­day evening and named a new board mem­ber. Lanie Lam­bert will serve effec­tively imme­di­ately until Dec. 31. If Lam­bert wants to con­tinue serv­ing on the school board after Dec. 31, he will have to file in the gen­eral elec­tion in Novem­ber. Also at this week’s meet­ing, the board approved the updated res­ig­na­tion date of super­in­ten­dent Tod Hug effec­tive April 12. Hug was offered a con­tract to serve as interim super­in­ten­dent effec­tive April 13 until a replace­ment can be found. Hug was hired as Lib­erty Cen­ter Local Schools’ super­in­ten­dent with a start­ing date of April 13.
